One of the biggest stars in the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016 was Kota Ibushi. He’s one of the biggest international stars in wrestling, and it certainly seems like he’s enjoying his time–heck, he wrestled as a masked anime character at this year’s Wrestle Kingdom.
Ibushi likes going crazy, and that’s no better evidenced than by some recent videos that have been circulating on social media. At a recent XWA event–that’s the Xtreme Wrestling Alliance, if you’re not clued in to the London wrestling scene–Kota caused some fireworks. Literally.
A tag team match spilled into the back alley, and this dude lights some fireworks and points them point blank at his own chest. Then he moonsaults off the roof of a car squarely on top of his opponents.
You can watch the video below–I have to agree with the title.
Kota made it to the semi-finals of WWE’s cruiserweight tournament, but lost to TJ Perkins, who would go on to become the division’s inaugural champion. There was some serious talk about Ibushi coming into WWE on a permanent basis, but those plans fell through–despite a few appearances in NXT.
But if we can continue to enjoy Ibushi being a lunatic on every stage in the world? I’ve got no complaints.
