That’s quite the development. The hot topic this week in wrestling has been the Hardys status. It’s not clear if they’re going to head to WWE or anywhere else for that matter but one thing is known for sure: they’re going to be at the Ring of Honor “Supercard of Honor XI” to challenge the Young Bucks for the Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles. That was the plan at least, but now that plan has been broken.

At tonight’s Ring of Honor “Manhattan Mayhem” event, the Young Bucks successfully defended the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles against Jay White and Lio Rush. After the match, the lights went out and the Broken Hardys appeared. A challenge was issued and the titles were on the line then and there. The Hardys won a quick match and became the new champions. This makes them the first team to win the WWE, TNA and Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles. They also held the WWE version of the WCW Tag Team Titles.

Opinion: This feels like a way to set up the titles changing right back the next month in Florida and that’s perfectly fine. I wouldn’t think this changes any potential WWE appearance or deal as the Hardys are free agents right now and it makes sense to help build up something for their upcoming dream match. The Young Bucks are also able to save face as they had just finished a regular title defense. This is all fine and seems like a way to set up the rematch, which is a good idea.

Do you think the Hardys wind up in WWE? Do the Young Bucks get the titles back next month? Let us know in the comments below.
