I have made no secret about my love for Rusev. He is the greatest wrestler in WWE today, and perhaps the greatest in history. …Okay, that might be an exaggeration. But I like Rusev a lot. That’s why I’m so disappointed with this new report.

We heard rumors over the weekend that Rusev would be out of action for shoulder surgery, and a new report from the Wrestling Observer has confirmed it.

While some folks had speculated that his unceremonious defeat at the hands of Big Show at Fastlane was some sort of burial–perhaps even punishment for his new haircut–it seems that instead Rusev was simply being written off of TV.

But a recent comment on social media has thrown some confusion on that point. Titus O’Neil took a similarly brutal loss to Big Show on last night’s Raw, and Rusev offered a sarcastic bit of commentary for it.

That’ll surely get some folks talking.

Big Show vs. Rusev: WWE Fastlane 2017 (WWE Network Exclusive)

Rusev is likely missing WrestleMania, and that’s a shame. He wasn’t in position for a major match, but it would’ve at least been nice to see him in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Please share your love for Rusev (or tell me how crazy I am) in the comments below, or on Facebook!
