That answers a question. Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal has long been rumored for “Wrestlemania XXXIII” but with less than three weeks to go before the show, nothing has officially been announced. Tonight on “Monday Night Raw”, a major development took place that heavily suggests the match won’t be taking place.

During the “New Day Talks” talk show, Xavier Woods said that Big Show will be in the fourth annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”. This means that, barring a major surprise that would see Big Show wrestle twice, he won’t be facing O’Neal at the pay per view. This comes a week after news broke that the match was basically off, though O’Neal said he was still in negotiations.

Opinion: At this point, it’s the better idea. O’Neal would have been brought in for the mainstream exposure but if they only had a few weeks for him to promote the match, was it really worth it? The card is already looking completely overloaded as it is and trimming a match off is probably a good idea.
