A recent injury is forcing WWE officials to come up with a new plan for one of its marquee matches, and we’re hearing some rumors about who might come in as a replacement.
The recent injury suffered by Seth Rollins has already caused him to be removed from live shows this weekend, and doctors have projected that he’ll be out six-to-eight weeks–which puts his planned WrestleMania match with Triple H very much up in the air.
WWE is expected to give an update on Rollins’ status on Raw this week, but what happens if he isn’t cleared for WrestleMania? Who takes on the planned match with Triple H?
According to PWInsider, one idea that’s been pitched backstage is Triple H vs. Shane McMahon. It makes sense as a Raw vs. SmackDown story, and would free AJ Styles for a more interesting match with another star.
But honestly? We’re not too keen on Shane in any major role at WrestleMania. His match with Undertaker last year was a draw, no doubt, and he took some impressive risks. But the match wasn’t great, nor was his Survivor Series appearance, where he got himself involved in a very nasty bump.
What do you think? Is Shane a suitable replacement if Seth isn’t cleared to compete? Let us know in the comments below, or on Facebook!
