That’s insane. Over the weekend, the WWE ran a major tournament to crown the inaugural United Kingdom Champion.

During the tournament, commentators Michael Cole and Nigel McGuinness mentioned various UK promotions including Scotland’s ICW (Insane Championship Wrestling). It turns out that there might be something to the constant mentions of the promotion.

According to PWInsider Elite by way of Wrestlinginc.com, ICW might be streaming on the WWE Network very soon. The deal would be for multiple years and could showcase some of ICW’s more hardcore based style. Dave Meltzer says there is something to these discussions on his Twitter account.

Now this has the potential to be something special. I’m not too familiar with ICW but the idea of these promotions getting to air on the WWE Network and being allowed to showcase themselves on such a major platform is great news for wrestling fans around the world. More content is a good thing and I’d love to see something like this happen.
