Do you like spoilers? Well, then, this is the article for you.
This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter just revealed the current plans for WrestleMania 33. Here’s what WWE is building toward right now.
- Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar
- Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
- Triple H vs. Seth Rollins
- Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens
- Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton
- Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal
- Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Title
This corresponds with reports from late last year about a few matches that were already “locked in,” including Rollins vs. Triple H and Big Show vs. O’Neal. The other rumored match was Cena vs. Undertaker, which was considered “likely” but not 100% certain.
It seems that plans for most of SmackDown’s stars, aside from Wyatt and Orton, are still up in the air.
You’ll also note the absence of specific titles on the line there, aside from the Raw Women’s Championship, and it seems exactly which matches would be for the championship are still undecided.
Meltzer mentions that given the increase in social media, that “nothing is a lock until it happens.” He expects the top of the card is unlikely to change, but plans for how each star gets there could be constantly changing.
