Dean and Renee Reveal Stalking and Death Threats

Pro wrestling fans–like fans of anything, really–have their crazier elements. Normally, that just manifests as an especially jerkish heckler in the crowd. Sometimes, though? Things can get a lot worse.

In an interview with local lifestyle mag Vegas Seven, Dean Ambrose and Renee Young (real-life couple, if you haven’t been keeping track) talked about some of the more frightening parts of their daily lives.

Renee mentioned some of the death threats she’s received, as well as the anti-Renee Young fanpages out there.

“It’s actually good to make this point,” Dean said. “But without going into too much detail, I’ve been stalked on the phone and my home and hotels, to the point where it’s a little Single White Female scary, though I’m pretty sure I’m not gonna get beaten up and kidnapped by a 15-year-old girl.”

“I don’t know,” Renee interjected, “there are a lot of steroids in foods now.”

Dean continued, “I’ve been stalked fairly regularly for the last two years. I have to go to great lengths to keep that shit at bay.”

From a similar demographic, though, Renee admits she almost bought a fan-made t-shirt of Dean and Roman Reigns on Etsy. So, you know, take the good with the bad.

What are the plans for Dean at WrestleMania? It’s sounding like an Intercontinental Title match with a regular SmackDown adversary.
