Is NXT taking their talents across the pond?

During the “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn” pre-show, exclusively on the WWE Network, Triple H announced that NXT will be having a tour of the United Kingdom from Dec. 10-16.

After the official announcement was made, both WWE UK and Triple H sent out the following messages through their official Twitter accounts:

Since this official announcement was made, rumors have been spreading via social media that WWE might possibly schedule their next “NXT Takeover” event during this UK tour. WWE has always shown appreciation for their fans overseas, and fans have been clamoring for a “big event” for years.

Triple H also teased a UK tour for the brand earlier in the week during a conference call.

Update:

WWE has released the official schedule for the seven city “NXT” UK tour:

Dec. 10: Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle

Dec. 11: SSE Hydro in Glasgow

Dec. 12: Sheffield Arena in Sheffield

Dec. 13: Empress Ballroom in Blackpool

Dec. 14: Capital FM Arena in Nottingham

Dec. 15: MotorPoint Arena in Cardfiff

Dec. 16: SSE Arena in London

WWE has also released comments made by Triple H regarding this groundbreaking tour:

“Coming off NXT’s biggest event in history, NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, we are thrilled to announce our first international tour. The tour marks a major milestone in the continued expansion of the NXT brand.”

In addition, current NXT Champion Finn Balor spoke on behalf of the WWE locker room about the excitement of performing in the United Kingdom:

“On behalf of the NXT Superstars and Divas, we are extremely excited at the opportunity to perform for the WWE Universe in the U.K. I look forward for the opportunity to return to where I started my career, giving fans new memories that they will never forget.”

Editor’s Note:

WOW. This is huge news for WWE and the future of NXT. Clearly, Triple H’s vision of trying to make NXT a global brand is working, as shown by the outpouring of fans that piled into the Barclays Center. Also, if you did not get chills from the way Triple H started off “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn,” there is something wrong with you. NXT is here to stay, and I can’t WAIT to see what happens next!
