Report: Championship Match at “SummerSlam” Moved to Pre-Show

Despite WWE “SummerSlam” being a four-hour pay-per-view, there doesn’t appear to be enough time for the 10 advertised bouts to take place during the show.

According to Justin LaBar of Wrestlezone.com, the Fatal 4-Way WWE Tag Team Championship match between The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O’Neil), Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando), Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto), and The New Day (a combination of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods) will be moved to the Kick-Off Show.

World Wrestling Entertainment has yet to make an official announcement concerning the placement of this bout.

This match was made official during the Aug. 10 edition of “Monday Night Raw” following a New Day victory over Los Matadores. The Prime Time Players won the titles from New Day at WWE “Money in the Bank” on July 14.

Editor’s Note

Well this is a crying shame. Tag bouts are easy to place on the Pre-Show, but this one actually had my interest. The build has been solid, although New Day are probably going to win the belts back as the awesome heels they are. I hope this isn’t the case, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see this report proven right.
