Who is the new NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion?

As previously reported, TNA has stripped Matt Hardy of their World Heavyweight Championship after winning the title at “Bound for Glory.” Announced on the Oct. 7 edition of “Impact,” a single’s tournament will be held in order to crown the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

This tournament will be aired on upcoming epsiodes of “Impact,” but were mostly taped over the summer. It has been reported by Spanish wrestling site SoloWrestling.com that Lashley wins the tournament that will play out over the next few months, claiming the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

The report claims that the final four wrestlers were Hardy, Ethan Carter III, Lashley and Eric Young. Lashley faced off with Hardy in the tournament finals, after disposing of “EC3” and Young, respectively. Lashely would then go on to get the victory over Hardy, winning the title.

Rarely do I watch TNA anymore, as the fact that they are airing matches taped in July should be a sign of bad news. I am sure TNA will be closing it’s doors soon, and we will continue to see a lot more talent jumping over to WWE and NXT.
