WWE Hall of Famer and former Minnesota Governor Jesse “The Body” Venura has been awarded $1.8 million as a result of the verdict rendered in a recent defamation lawsuit. A Minnesota jury made the final call on the verdict in a case that saw Ventura take legal action against the estate (wife) a late veteran, “American Sniper” Chris Kyle.

Kyle made claim to knocking Ventura out in his 2012 “American Sniper” autobiography. Kyle claims that he knocked out a balding, old gentleman in a bar, and later came to find out that the man he engaged in the altercation with was Ventura. The former Governor then sued Kyle’s estate following the veteran’s death for defamation of character.

Initially, the jury said that they couldn’t reach a verdict and were forced to do so by the judge. Ventura produced witnesses that proclaimed the altercation never took place, and the jury awarded “The Body” the victor of the case.

Editor’s Note:
I mean…he sued the wife of a war veteran. I mean. I dunno what to say really.
