The Shield vs. Evolution Confirmed for WWE Payback

In a rematch from “WWE Extreme Rules” back in April, The Shield (Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) will face Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista) in a six-man tag team match.

The May 12 edition of “Monday Night Raw” opened with Evolution getting attacked by The Shield backstage after exiting their limo.

In a fit of rage, the former World Champions came down to the ring later in the show, proclaiming that they’d dissect each individual member of The Shield at “WWE Payback.”

The Shield emerged victorious at “WWE Extreme Rules” after Reigns delivered a Superman Punch and Spear to Batista.

“WWE Payback” takes place live from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL, on June 1.

I’m surprised a stipulation wasn’t added to the bout, but that could change over the next three weeks leading into the special event. Their first match at “WWE Extreme Rules” was a Match of the Year candidate. The rematch will have a lot to live up to.
