Video: New WWE Divas Champion Paige Working With Her Family Prior to Signing a WWE Contract

With the debut of the NXT Women’s Champion on the April 7 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” interest in the new WWE Divas Champion Paige has risen astronomically. Paige, who now will work as a double-champion on both NXT and WWE programming, made an impact with her debut, as she defeated the longest-reigning WWE Divas champion ever for the strap, AJ Lee.

Prior to signing a WWE contract, Paige (real name Saraya Knight) worked for her family’s wrestling promotion in England. A documentary about their lives, promotion, and ties to wrestling called “The Wrestlers: Fighting With My Family” was filmed before Knight signed with World Wrestling Entertainment, giving the world a glimpse of the new Divas Champion before she became part of “the machine.” Anyone interested in knowing more about this up-and-comer should definitely take the time to watch this video.
