Former NFL Star Shawne Merriman May Now Work Exclusively With WWE

Former NFL star Shawne Merriman may now work exclusively with WWE. For the last week, including WrestleMania weekend, Merriman has appeared as an analyst during WWE event pre and post-shows on the WWE Network. This leads many to believe he may now be working exclusively with the company.

Previous reports from 2013 claimed Merriman went through a vigorous WWE tryout last year but was not offered a talent contract with the company at that time. Rey Mysterio, who was spotted spending time with Merriman in New Orleans during WrestleMania weekend, sent out a tweet about the former football star, referring to him as a future WWE Superstar.

Editor’s Note:  I think that Merriman would be a sweet edition to the WWE family. He’s a talented guy, and I honestly enjoyed him during the “Monday Night Raw” pre-show on April 7.
