A report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards working for the WWE. Apparently their most recent WWE tryout went off without a hitch and WWE officials liked the work that they did. They are scheduled to compete during the next round of NXT tapings in January, but have not been offered an official contract yet.

Richards and Edwards worked during last week’s set of NXT tapings as the American Pitbulls, as opposed to their Ring of Honor tag team name, the American Wolves. NXT writer Ryan Ward is reportedly pushing hard for Triple H to sign them, and NXT trainers Billy Gunn and Bill DeMott also gave them rave reviews.

The report states that World Wrestling Entertainment is allowing the American Wolves to honor their commitments to Ring of Honor on December 14th and compete for the company, but do not want them working anymore dates for them following that show.
