F4WOnline.com is reporting that the Undertaker may be added to the card for WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV on May 19th. The initial belief is that The Undertaker would be used to add star power to the event, given CM Punk and the Rock no longer being on the card. With WWE Champion John Cena aggravating an achilles tendon injury this past weekend, he is also questionable for the event, and injuries of that nature take time off to heal (no pun intended).
Undertaker’s involvement with Extreme Rules is merely a rumor at this point, and it was not stated to who would face him if he was indeed added to the card. With his recent battles against the Shield being fresh, it would be easy for the WWE to put together another 6-Man tag match at the PPV, with Undertaker and Team Hell No teaming up to face Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns one more time. This match went over very well during the April 22nd edition of Monday Night Raw, and could be a classic given the right spotlight on a big stage. Internet speculation surrounding the Shield and Team Hell No however have been pointing towards a 2-on-2 tag match at Extreme Rules, where 2 members of the Shield could possibly become WWE Tag Team Champions.
