Tyson Kidd Expected to Miss Up to 14 Months of Action Following Neck Surgery
WWE superstar Tyson Kidd is expected to miss up to 14 months of action following neck surgery on June 24. As previously reported, Kidd suffered a neck injury during a non-televised bout with Samoa Joe before an edition of “Monday Night Raw” recently.
The latest edition of the “Wrestling Observer Radio” podcast featuring Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer provided an update on Kidd, saying that his surgery will be similar to the procedures WWE Hall of Famers “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Edge, and the late Chris Benoit had during their careers. Kidd opted to have the full surgical procedure done rather than a temporary fix.
While this means he will be out of in-ring action for over a year, it will be better for him in the long run. Kidd himself posted a pre-op picture of himself in the hospital alongside of his beautiful wife Natalya on Twitter, saying,
A little pre-op today. Grateful to have my best friend by my side. In 36 hours I unleash my mutant healing powers… pic.twitter.com/O6ONMzU1on
