The Rock continues to say he’ll return to the ring if the opponent is big enough, that is, if the opponent is a big enough draw to make him some mega-bucks. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been making his way around the promo circuit pushing his upcoming Summer blockbuster film “Hercules,” and has been very open about talking to Vince McMahon about coming back to WWE and competing in the ring again during many of the interviews.

Johnson recently appeared on “The Today Show” on July 23, and claimed that he would get back in the ring again if his opponent was a “marquee” name. When asked if Johnson would return to the ring, he says,

“Um, you know I love the connection with an audience. There is nothing like it, and you know that, you’re on live television. There’s nothing like it. Um, but if it [returning to the ring] made sense, and right now what makes sense is just to find a marquee opponent and I don’t know who that would be…”

Johnson previously revealed that he was supposed to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXX prior to the injury that he suffered at WrestleMania 29. Those plans were scrapped, but could always be brought back onto the table.

Editor’s Note:
Who would the Rock face at this point? Seriously?
