WWE United States Champion Sheamus is currently suffering from severe flu like symptoms. The Irish superstar has not appeared on WWE programming since WWE “Battleground,” where he competed in the Intercontinental Championship “Battleground” Battle Royal.

F4Wonline.com is reporting that Sheamus missed the July 21 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” the July 22 edition of “Maine Event,” as well as the July 25 “Smackdown” tapings on July 22 in Orlando, Fla. due to the illness. Scripts for both programs had to be adjusted accordingly, as Sheamus was set to take on Rusev for the United States title on the July 22 edition of “Main Event.”

WrestlingRumors.net wishes Sheamus a speedy recovery. Sheamus is currently rumored to feud with Intercontinental Champion The Miz upon his return, as the two may go head-to-head in a mid-card title unification match at “SummerSlam.”

Editor’s Note:
Ugh. Flu like that is awful. Here’s hoping he gets well soon.
