*SPOILERS* Aug. 8 “Smackdown”

WWE taped the Aug. 8 edition of “Smackdown” in Laredo, TX on Aug. 5. The following are the results of the show, which will air on SyFy, Friday, Aug. 8.

WWE “Smackdown” (08-08-14)

* Dean Ambrose kicks off the program to announce the stipulation for his match with Seth Rollins at “SummerSlam.” Rollins comes out and chats up Ambrose from the entrance way. Ambrose then announces that their match will be a Lumberjack Match on Aug. 17, but Rollins announces that he gets to pick Ambrose’s opponent for “Smackdown.” He chooses Randy Orton. Orton vs Ambrose is the show’s main event.

* Backstage promo between Dolph Ziggler and Rollins to set up the first match of the night.

1.) Seth Rollins def. Dolph Ziggler. Rollins apparently had the upper hand the entire match.

2.) Big Show & Mark Henry def. RybAxel.

3.) Sin Cara def. Damien Sandow.

4.) Paige def. Natalya. This was said to have been a pretty good Divas bout.

* Chris Jericho discusses Bray Wyatt and their upcoming match at “SummerSlam.”

5.) Rusev def. Big E via Submission.

* They showed an image of Stephanie McMahon backstage, with a lower third saying, “Up Next,” but she didn’t come out to the ring, nor did they show a video package or backstage promo.

6.) Dean Ambrose def. Randy Orton via DQ. Seth Rollins interferes in this one causing the DQ after a great 30 minutes from Orton and Ambrose.
