Sheamus may drop the US Title to Rusev soon. F4Wonline.com claims that early plans coming straight out of WWE “Battleground” on July 20 were to have Rusev win the United States Championship from Sheamus on either “Monday Night Raw,” “Main Event,” or “Smackdown,” but Sheamus has missed WWE television with “severe flu” since the PPV.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE feels that Rusev having the United States Championship would help put heat on the avid anti-American. However, it is uncertain if WWE officials will want to put the title on Rusev before his Flag Match with Jack Swagger at “SummerSlam” or not.

Sheamus, who has supposedly missed the last two weeks due to “severe flu,” may actually be filming the next installment of “Star Wars” in Ireland and not actually sick at all. The Irish Mirror reported on July 30 that Sheamus is expected to serve as the body for Darth Vader in the upcoming film, “Star Wars: Episode VII,” which will hit theaters in December of 2015. Sheamus recently portrayed Darth Vader during some promotional tours, which is how he likely landed the job in the film.

WWE likely lied about Sheamus being sick to establish a cover story for the superstar’s whereabouts. J.J. Abrams, director of the film, has been trying to be super secretive about characters that will be appearing in the film, as well as who will be playing them.

Editor’s Note:
Sheamus is Darth Fella, and is gonna lose the US title to Rusev. I am pleased by both of these facts…or rumors…whatever they are. This pleases me.
