WWE Discusses Turning Nikki Bella Heel

Over the past couple of weeks of WWE programming, Stephanie McMahon has been taking out past frustrations with Brie Bella on her twin sister, Nikki Bella. On the July 21 showing of “Monday Night Raw,” Nikki was put in a four-on-one handicap match, in which she faced Cameron, Alicia Fox, Eva Marie, and Rosa Mendes.

Nikki was beaten down by the four Divas, and pinned quickly. Brie, who watched from the first row, confronted Stephanie McMahon. In turn, it led to Stephanie McMahon slapping Brie, causing one of the principal owners to be storyline arrested later in the night. The encounter kicked off the build to a potential Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon match at “SummerSlam.”

Following “Monday Night Raw,” F4WOnline published a report in regards to what the future may hold for Nikki Bella. The report notes that WWE officials have discussed the idea of turning Nikki Bella heel. However, it is unknown if those plans would come to fruition with the now ongoing Stephanie McMahon Brie Bella feud.

Nikki Bella is a one-time Divas Champion, and most of her work in WWE has been as a heel character. Soon after the premiere of the “Total Divas” reality show, The Bella Twins became babyface characters. Here in 2014, the two have both clashed with on-screen authority figure Stephanie McMahon.

I wouldn’t mind seeing WWE turn Nikki Bella heel. Following Brie’s feud with Stephanie McMahon, perhaps the two twins will start a program against each other. If it finds success, the Divas division could get greater.
