Former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio made an appearance during the WWE Live Event that was held in Queretaro, Mexico Wednesday night. Mysterio made a run-in to save his former tag team parter Sin Cara from a post-match attack from World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio.

WrestlingInc.com claims that Del Rio defeated Sin Cara in a one-on-one match, but then viciously attacked the masked superstar once the bout had come to an end. Mysterio, who is not ready for a full return into action just yet, then came to the ring in order to stop Del Rio from doing any further damage.

Mysterio recently sat down with WWE.com and said that he would be involved in the ongoing WWE Mexican Tour that will continue until Sunday night, even though he will not be wrestling any matches. Mexico is Mysterio’s home country, and he said that he wants to be there to connect with his people.

Mysterio also claims that he may not return to the ring in 2013, even though he really wants to, but that he has no desire to retire anytime soon. He says mo matter how many injuries he suffers and no matter what moves he has to stop using in order to stay healthy, he he handle it all in stride and continue to wrestle until he physically just cannot go anymore.
