During Monday’s episode of RAW, former WWE Champion John Cena announced that he will miss four-to-six months of active competition due to a torn tricep. As we reported earlier on Monday, Cena will have surgery on his left arm soon and will take the recommended time off to rehabilitate himself fully.

Cena commented on his severely swollen left elbow, stating that its “baseball-sized” appearance is due to fluid build up as a result of the torn muscle in his arm. He also mentioned that WWE doctors did not even want him competing at SummerSlam, as we had previously reported.

Look for the “Leader of the Cenation” to return to WWE television around Royal Rumble season. This should have him back in time to set up a match for WrestleMania XXX.
