WrestlingRumors.net previously reported that WWE superstar Randy Orton was injured during last week’s Smackdown tapings. Although Orton then announced via Twitter that he was indeed ok, the “Apex Predator” was kept off of WWE television this week. The recent Money In The Bank briefcase winner suffered a cervical strain and cervical neuropraxia last week.

The July 22nd edition of RAW, which was shot in Austin, TX, did not feature Orton in any capacity. The next night in Laredo, TX, July 29th’s episode of Monday Night Raw was taped and Orton was also not featured in any way during this show. The word backstage is, the WWE may be keeping him off of TV and out of active competition for a couple of weeks to fully recover.

While Orton has been kept off of RAW, he is still expected to travel to Australia on Friday with the RAW World Tour crew. Whether or not he will compete is still yet to be seen.
