There is a possible twist in store for the upcoming WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match. As we previously reported, Antonio Cesaro and Christian have been added to the Elimination Chamber Match for the title that will take place on Feb. 23. However, there is an angle set up for someone else to enter the match if WWE feels the need to swap someone out.
According to a new report from F4Wonline.com, Christian’s spot in the match is not secure. “Captain Charisma” has been placed in the bout fresh off of his first appearance for the company in four months, but he could be replaced if WWE Creative feels like they have someone better for the match in the next couple of weeks.
Christian, who seems to be spending the latter part of his career either legitimately or scripted as injured, is set to be attacked and replaced if another superstar is felt to be needed for the event by WWE officials. As of Jan. 30, no superstar is slated replace “Captain Charisma,” but the angle is on the table in case the company wants to call an audible.
Those suggesting the replacement should be Brock Lesnar, he is currently not scheduled to compete for the company again until WrestleMania XXX. Lesnar has fulfilled all of his required dates for his current contractual year, but is expected to work ‘Mania. A new year of dates would start for him then, as he will work for the company until WrestleMania 31. Lesnar could appear at the event however, as “Elimination Chamber” is being held in his hometown and he is actively involved in on-air storylines at the moment.
