New Participants Named for the 2nd Annual André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
The participants for the 2nd annual André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31 are becoming solidified. As previously reported, the Battle Royal will return on March 29, featuring a lot of mid-card talent who otherwise probably wouldn’t be featured on a WrestleMania card.
Sin Cara, Erick Rowan, and Mizdow are now the latest three men who have been confirmed for the bout. Mizdow publicly announced that he will be an entrant in the Battle Royal during the March 9 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
While the entire list of competitors has yet to be confirmed, many others are expected to participate in this match. Tag teams such as Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, The Usos, Los Matadores, and The New Day may compete in the Kick Off show of WrestleMania 31, then turn around and work the 2nd Annual André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal as well.
The match has also been a rumored spot for the return of Sheamus, who’s had vignettes claiming his return was eminent air on WWE television for weeks with no sign of the actual Celtic Warrior himself. Initially WWE wanted to go with a Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus match, and while the company has plenty of time to still run with that bout, Bryan is likely going to be added to the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match instead. However, Sheamus can easily be placed in either the 2nd Annual André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal or the Ladder Match for the IC title and still feud with Bryan as a heel following WrestleMania 31.
The list of names confirmed for the 2nd annual André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal are now as follows,
The Miz
Curtis Axel
Ryback
Fandango
Adam Rose
Zack Ryder
Jack Swagger
Titus O’Neil
Darren Young
Big Show
Kane
Erick Rowan
Damien Mizdow
Sin Cara

Editor’s Note:
The Battle Royal seems to REALLY be stacking up, eh? I fully expect Mizdow to eliminate Miz, and if Sheamus enters this thing, he’s winning with dominance. If Sheamus doesn’t win, Mizdow eliminating Miz at the end would be a great spot for him.
