The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has recently published some more information about Daniel Bryan and Triple H’s heated backstage confrontation. The argument took place after Triple H stopped Bryan’s match with Randy Orton on a recent episode of Monday Night Raw. Bryan reportedly lost it on Triple H at the “Gorilla Position” once the match was over, and the two exchanged harsh words and massive tempers. WWE.com even ran a story on the matter, saying that after the heated conversation, the two apologized and seem to have no further beef with each other.
Daniel Bryan was not punished over his insubordination, as many believed he would have been if the argument was with Vince McMahon. Some accounts of the confrontation say that McMahon was present at the time, and others say he wasn’t, but “the boss” did not punish Bryan because he did not want to go over Triple H’s head on the matter. Sources say that McMahon has given full managing control of the WWE roster to Triple H, and when “The Game” did not feel the need to punish Bryan, McMahon agreed with his decision. Many believe that McMahon would have handled the situation differently, but in order to prove to the talent that Triple H is indeed now in charge, he did not overrule him.
