Kevin Steen will debut during NXT’s Dec. 11 “TakeOver” special. PWInsider.com claims that Steen will debut under the previously reported name of Kevin Owens on Dec. 11.

Steen signed with WWE over the Summer of 2014 and has been training in the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. According to reports, Steen has been recording vignettes at the Performance Center and is scheduled to make his debut during the final NXT “TakeOver” special of 2014. If he winds up not appearing on the program, then he will debut the following night during the next set of “NXT” tapings at Full Sail University.

Steen likely chose the name “Owens” in honor of one of his idols, Owen Hart. His son is named Owen Steen after the late WWE legend as well. Steen has recently spoke out about his upcoming debut in NXT, and his relationship with fellow Canadian Sami Zayn. Zayn will likely feud with “Owens” shortly after his debut in NXT, as the two have had epic encounters in other companies such as Ring of Honor in the past and know each other very well.

Editor’s Note:
I’m ready to see Steen in NXT. Hopefully they won’t take away the package piledriver. That would be a big ‘ol shame.
