Kevin Owens Reportedly Signs New WWE Contract to Move to the Main Roster

A new report from F4Wonline.com claims that current NXT Champion Kevin Owens has signed a new WWE contract, and is now an official part of the main roster. As previously reported, Owens will have his first main roster singles match against United States Champion John Cena on May 31 at WWE “Elimination Chamber.

Owens has been slowly appearing in new advertisements for WWE Live Events and television shows, even as far as being advertised for WWE’s July Pay-Per-View “Battleground.” With all the extra booking, it was unclear of whether or not Owens was making the transition permanently, or just for a few months.

F4Wonline.com states that he has indeed joined the WWE main roster, and will be transitioning out of NXT slowly. The report says,

“Kevin Owens has signed a main roster contract with WWE it has been learned and will be making the transition from the NXT brand to the main brand quickly.

He is booked for all Raw television going forward and will be starting on a full house show scheduled very soon.  He will continue as a character on NXT television for the couple of months to where it’s a smooth transition out since he’s the group’s current champion.”

Many expect Owens to not only compete in the 2015 Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but possibly even win it. It’s believed that Owens will lose the NXT Championship to either Samoa Joe or Finn Bálor at the next “NXT TakeOver” special.
