With the 2015 “Elimination Chamber” event drawing near, various WWE stars have done media rounds in promotion for the WWE Network exclusive special. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins recently spoke to Digital Spy, hitting on numerous WWE and professional wrestling related topics.

Rollins was asked about Samoa Joe’s debut in NXT on May 20:

“I was very thrilled for Joe. He’s a guy who was an idol of mine growing up, someone I watched when I was in my formative teenage years. He’s someone whose style I emulated when I first started. There’s definitely pieces of Samoa Joe in the Seth Rollins repertoire so it’s cool he’s part of the company now – something you thought you’d never see. Like I say, it creates a lot of super-interesting match-ups, so it’s a great time to be a professional wrestling fan, a great time to be a WWE fan for sure.”

The architect of The Shield also discussed NXT Champion Kevin Owens’ recent debut on the main WWE roster:

“No. You know, Kevin’s great. I’ve known Kevin for years and years and years. He’s an excellent talent. There’s a reason The Authority sees big things in him, there’s a reason the WWE Universe sees big things in him.”

“But Kevin Owens is Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. So I’m not terribly concerned at this point in time. I think I earn my keep quite well.”

“Maybe down the line we’ll have to consider other options, but that’s definitely not the case right now.”

The former WWE Tag Team Champion was also reminded about the brief moment he worked together with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at “Payback.” The moment saw the trio perform its patented “Triple Powerbomb” on Randy Orton, reminiscent of the three stars’ days as The Shield. Rollins was inquired if Ambrose and Reigns would ever join The Authority:

“It’s hard to say because they’re two very different personalities who are both still pretty hurt about what happened I think.”

“You look at Dean Ambrose and he’s really the most unpredictable performer on our roster at this point. It’s ridiculous to try to assume what he’s going to eat for breakfast, let alone what he’s going to do with me and The Authority.”

“Roman Reigns is obviously a stubborn young man in his own right and he’s got a vendetta against myself – maybe for good reason – I’ve taken a lot from him over the past year.”

“I would be hard-pressed to see Roman Reigns in a suit and tie, hanging out with me and Trips and Kane and Stephanie.”

“In the near future I couldn’t even begin to tell you which one of them would fit in with us, it just doesn’t make any sense.”

Check out the entire piece, here. Rollins also talked about Brock Lesnar’s eventual return, if John Cena is on the decline, and much more.
