John Cena is Being Advertised for a December WWE Live Event

Former WWE Champion John Cena is being advertised for a December WWE Live Event. The event will take place in New York at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, December 26, and the location’s official website claims Cena will be part of the show.

It should be noted that the site is advertising a “special appearance” by the superstar, and not a return to in-ring competition. Cena is currently going through rehabilitation for his torn triceps injury and is not expected to return to the ring until the 2014 Royal Rumble.

Some of those actually advertised to compete during the event are The Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, and The Shield. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase Saturday, October 12.
