In a recent interview with HuffPost Live‘s Marc Lamont Hill, Hulk Hogan discusses how Triple H approached him to come “home” to WWE. Hogan claims that a couple of years ago, when Triple H still rocked a ponytail, the two saw each other at a Toys R Us charity event in New York City. It was there that Triple H first asked him, “When are you coming home?”
Hogan, who was contracted to TNA Wrestling at the time, even claims that Triple H told him that Vince McMahon wanted him home, which was hard for him to believe, although he said through the thick and the thin, he and Vince have always been “tight.”
Hogan also noted that TNA PR representative Mike Weber was standing next to him when Triple H asked him about coming home during the autograph meet-and-greet. Hogan then explained that once his contract with TNA expired and the word hit the street (the Internet), he got a message from Triple H asking again, would Hogan come home?
Hogan would indeed relish in a homecoming, as he will host WrestleMania XXX on April 6. When discussing whether or not he will ever compete again, Hogan said, “Never say never…,” but he did say that he would not be doing any more leg drops. After nine back surgeries and having both knees replaced, Hogan’s best served as a looker, not a doer.
