WWE taped the July 11 edition of “Smackdown” in Ottawa, Canada on July 8. The following are the results of the show which will air on SyFy, Friday, July 11.

WWE Smackdown (07-11-14)

* Rusev and Lana kick off “Smackdown.” Lana speaks out against Canada, claiming Russia is greater than USA and Canada. Enter Roman Reigns to a massive pop. Reigns says he won’t be crushed by Rusev in the show’s main event like everyone else has been. Lana and Reigns have some verbal back-and-forth before the physical back-and-forth begins. Referees try and break it up, while Lana eventually pulls Rusev away from the melee.

1.) *WWE Divas Champion* AJ Lee def. Cameron via pinfall. Cameron attempts to walk out on the bout, but Naomi throws her into the ring for Lee to get the pin. The former Funkadactyl partners stare down each other to end the segment. A “Battleground” match, possibly the Kick Off match will likely take place between them. Paige vs. AJ Lee is announced for the title at “Battleground.”

* Randy Orton claims the “Legend Killer” will return during his match with Chris Jericho later in the show. Nice backstage promo here.

2.) Adam Rose def. Fandango via Count-Out. Fandango gets counted out due to Summer Rae and Layla having an argument on the outside. After trying to break it up, and being counted out, ‘Dango gets hit with Rose’s Party Foul finish while arguing with the ref.

3.) *WWE Tag Team Champions* The Usos def. Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil. Quick match. Usos cut a promo post match and Wyatts vs. Usos at “Battleground” is announced.

4.) Randy Orton def. Chris Jericho via pinfall. Jericho got a massive pop, and this was a heck of a match. Jericho gets distracted by the Wyatts when Orton nails him with a RKO for the victory.

5.) Layla vs. Summer Rae No Contest. Fandango was the special referee again here. Fandango begins to dance after Summer Rae and Layla both kiss him. They then attack him and leave him laying in the ring.

6.) Goldust def. Ryback. Axel and Stardust were on the outside. Another RybAxel vs. Dust brothers match should happen at “Battleground.”

7.) Bo Dallas def. Diego and El Torito. Dallas attacked El Torito following the match, trying to still get heat on him while the fans continue to cheer him.

8.) Roman Reigns def. Rusev via DQ. According to correspondents, this is a great match. Rusev stayed dominant throughout the bout before Reigns hits the Superman punch. Orton interferes and costs Rusev the match when he attacks Reigns. Rusev then hits his superkick on Reigns before Lana takes him backstage. Orton hits Reigns with the RKO, then gets speared as Reigns gets up to end the show.
