Eden may be called up as the new ring announcer for “Monday Night Raw.” PWInsider.com is reported that “Mrs. Cody Rhodes” may be the one Kevin Dunn and company have their eye on as Justin Roberts’ replacement.
As previously reported, Roberts was released on Oct. 13 after World Wrestling Entertainment decided not to renew his contract. While some backstage viewed this choice made by WWE as a mistake, it was said that the decision was entirely left up to, and made, by Dunn. No details have been revealed to why, but some are saying it was either because Dunn didn’t like Roberts’ performance, or he simply made the decision to go a different direction with the look, and sound, of weekly WWE TV.
Rumor has it that both weekly broadcasts are about to feature women ring announcers. Eden, who’s been getting experience on the microphone down in WWE’s developmental promotion, NXT, will likely be the new ring announcer for “Monday Night Raw,” and Lilian Garcia will likely remain on “Smackdown.”
Byron Saxton is another name being discussed for a ring announcer position, as he will be doing the job during WWE Live Events that Garcia is not booked for. JoJo, the young Diva featured during season one of E! and WWE’s “Total Divas,” may also get some mic work on the main roster soon. JoJo has also been announcing for NXT regularly.
Editor’s Note:
Eden…wouldn’t be mad at looking at her every Monday.
