F4Wonline.com and Hartford, Conn. publication The Courant have provided further details regarding Emma’s arrest. As we previously reported, Emma, real name Tenille Dashwood, was arrested prior to the June 30 “Monday Night Raw” broadcast.
Hartford police charged Dashwood with sixth-degree larceny after she stole an item from a Wal-Mart that is extremely close to where “Monday Night Raw” was held. Police reported the incident at approximately 1:00 p.m. ET, and Dashwood was released at 2:13 p.m. According to F4Wonline.com, Dashwood boosted a case for an iPod device.
Reports state Dashwood appeared in community court Tuesday, July 1. Her lawyer, Hubert Santos, claims she was sentenced to community service. Santos also stated that Dashwood’s arrest was essentially a mistake. The Courant states that Santos’ explanation of the incident includes Dashwood using the self-checkout machine, but forgot to pay for the item she was accused of stealing.
WWE has released a statement on the matter, however it looks like Dashwood’s job is safe for the time being. WWE’s statement reads,
“WWE is aware that Tenille Dashwood (WWE Diva Emma) was arrested for shoplifting. Ms. Dashwood is ultimately responsible for her personal actions.”
Dashwood appeared during a “Meet & Greet” before “Monday Night Raw,” but was not used during the program. Emma did however tweet during the show, commenting on AJ Lee’s return and capture of the Divas Championship.
Editor’s Note:
Looks like a misunderstanding for the most part. Seemed strange that she would steal an iPod case…given she has plenty of money to purchase one.
