Complete “Smackdown” *Spoilers* for July 23

The July 23 edition of WWE “Smackdown” was taped in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 21. The following results can be seen in more detail on SyFy Network on July 23, beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

WWE “Smackdown” – July 23

* Dean Ambrose opens “Smackdown” with a promo about where he’s been and what he wants, then gets put in a match immediately.

1) Sheamus def. Dean Ambrose via Pinfall. Ambrose gets beaten via Sheamus’ Brogue Kick after he was distracted by Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper, who appeared on the Titantron to taunt him. A tag team match pitting Harper and Wyatt against Ambrose and Roman Reigns is likely for “SummerSlam.”

* JoJo held a backstage interview with Neville, but was interrupted by Stardust, who popped up on a screen behind them and began to laugh.

2) Neville def. Adam Rose via Pinfall.

* Stardust cuts a promo backstage on Neville.

* WWE airs a vignette featuring NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, further building her up as a credible force that has debuted in the Divas division.

* King Barrett cuts an in-ring promo about being The “One True King,” after defeated R-Truth at “Battleground.”

3) Rusev (w/ Summer Rae) def. Kevin Owens via Count-Out. Owens gets tired of the bout half-way through, and leaves, giving Rusev the win.

* Cesaro is having an interview backstage, when Owens walks up and interrupts him after the had left his match with Rusev. Cesaro teased Owens for quitting his bouts all the time, leaving Owens steamed.

4) The Bella Twins def. NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks & Naomi via Pinfall.

5) WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins def. Cesaro via Pinfall. Owens would arrive to the ring after the match and attack Cesaro, hitting him with a Pop-Up Powerbomb to end the show with him taunting the Swiss Superman.
