As of this writing, only five matches (including the pre-show) have been booked for WWE “Battleground” on Sunday.

A Triple Threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship was originally set to take place, with Ryback defending his title against The Miz and Big Show. That bout was eventually pulled due to Ryback getting a staph infection this past Monday night on “Raw.”

To fill time, WWE is considering adding a Triple Threat match featuring the Divas to the card, PWInsider.com reports.

The match would include one member of the following three teams: Paige/Charlotte/Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks/Tamina Snuka/Naomi, and Brie Bella/Nikki Bella/Alicia Fox.

NXT Divas Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch made their main roster debuts on “Raw” this week, with Stephanie McMahon assigning them roles in the war against Team Bella.

PWInsider.com reported earlier today that all three ladies are in St. Louis for the pay-per-view.

Editor’s Note

Good idea. I wouldn’t add the big stars from each respective team, though. I would keep it simple with Brie Bella taking on Becky Lynch and Naomi. Save the top guns for “SummerSlam,” unless WWE wants to throw them all in the mix for the Brooklyn pay-per-view. Give Divas a Chance, right?
