Former WWE Champion, and former WWE employee CM Punk, is set to appear on the popular “Nerdist Podcast” following the end of his eight year tenure with World Wrestling Entertainment. Punk will be a guest on the “Nerdist Podcast” during the “Nerdist Podcast Live!” event on July 26 at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Chris Hardwick of Nerdist.com recently announced on Twitter that CM Punk will be one of his guests for the San Diego Comic-Con event, and that the show will begin at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The live show featuring Punk is already sold out, likely because this will be his first live appearance since being officially removed from WWE’s active roster. Although Punk had not appeared for the company in six months, he was still employed by WWE until July 15.

He was then officially removed from WWE’s active roster, and was moved to the Alumni section on WWE.com and Shop.WWE.com. Punk has teased that he will be starting a band, podcast, or both since retiring from professional wrestling, and while the demand for this event is likely due to the timing, it still may be an accurate example of the demand Punk still draws from fans.

Editor’s Note:
I would LOVE to hear this. Anyone going to this PLEASE correspond with us what Punk says. Would love to hear it.
