Chris Jericho will tour with Fozzy during his current WWE run. The former six-time WWE/World Heavyweight/Undisputed Champion returned to the company during the June 30 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” and is expected to not only work for WWE until September, but also begin touring with his band Fozzy in July.
Although only three dates have been made official on the Fozzy website, Jericho and company will begin touring in promotion of their sixth studio album, “Do You Wanna Start a War,” on July 24. The CD release show will take place at The Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, Calif. just four days removed from WWE “Battleground.” Two other dates have been promoted by Fozzy, one on Aug. 2 and one on Sept. 13
Jericho is expected to compete for WWE at least through “Night of Champions,” adding a nice presence to the WWE roster, especially with Batista, Bryan, Barrett, and Punk gone. Jericho is slated to face The Miz during the July 7 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” and possibly at “Battleground” on July 20. He is then slated to face Bray Wyatt at “SummerSlam” and possibly “Night of Champions.”
Editor’s Note:
I dig Fozzy. They played at Carolina Rebellion in my neck of the woods just a couple of months ago. I’m more of a fan of Jericho’s WWE work though, if I must say…junior.
