Former WWE Champion Chris Jericho will return for Dec. 15 “Monday Night Raw.” WWE has confirmed that Jericho will serve as the special guest General Manager of the program just one night removed from the company’s annual December PPV event, “TLC.”
Jericho has made sporadic appearances for the company for what seems like ages now. His last three-month run began in June and carried him through multiple matches with The Miz, Bray Wyatt, and Randy Orton until he left the company to tour with his band Fozzy in September.
While Jericho has claimed he will not be wrestling at WrestleMania 31, he is slated for WWE Live Events from January through April. According to previous reports, Jericho may not work television or Pay-Per-Views during this time, but only work house shows, as sort of a “reverse Brock Lesnar” deal. Lesnar does not work live events and only appears on TV and PPV. He recently worked house shows like these in November during WWE’s Fall European tour.
Jericho will serve as guest GM on the program, and may confront Fandango about the Slammy Award he accepted on behalf of Y2J on Dec. 8, as Jericho was not present for the annual awards ceremony edition of “RAW.” However, as previously noted, do not expect Jericho to appear on television moving forward. He is currently only slated to appear on the Dec. 15 edition of the show.
Editor’s Note:
I think we’ll probably see Jericho work “Royal Rumble,” but he’ll stay off TV unless McMahon or Triple H want to use him at the last minute.
