The upcoming Chris Benoit movie, Crossface, will be directed by Vicente Amorim. Mike Flemming Jr. of Deadline.com recently published an article talking about the upcoming Benoit bio-pic, stating that the movie will be adapted from Matthew Randazzo book, “Ring of Hell: The Story of Chris Benoit and the Fall of the Pro Wrestling Industry.

Amorium told Flemming Jr.,

Wrestling is showbiz taken to the extreme and ‘Crossface’ is Limelight on steroids. Chris Benoit’s story is the perfect vehicle for a fiercely honest film that is as much about him and the world of wrestling as it is about America and show business. I am very happy to be on board to help tell this story.”

Amorium’s past film credits include Too Much Brazil, The Middle Of The World, Good, and Dirty Hearts. Production on Crossface is expected to begin in 2014.
