Multiple sources have now provided new information as to why the locally promoted Money In The Bank rematch between John Cena and Mark Henry for the WWE Championship was scratched from the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.

Apparently, WWE officials removed the match from the card once news of the planned segment involving John Cena selecting his SummerSlam opponent began to spread outside of the company. Knowing that Cena would be announcing Daniel Bryan as the number one contender for the WWE Championhip, officials decided to scrap the rematch so that the announcement would be the highlight of the show.

There are no immediate plans to have Mark Henry and John Cena meet again for the title, as Cena now has his program with Bryan, and Henry has turned face and is working with The Shield.
