PWinsider.com is reporting that the WWE may host their own convention soon. The four-day convention would be styled after the recent Comic-Con event held in San Diego.

Initial thoughts from WWE officials is that they would hold the convention in the same city as a major pay-per-view, but the tickets to enter the convention would be a separate purchase than the tickets to the PPV. No information has been released about when the first WWE Convention would officially be held, as the whole idea is still merely in planning stages. Rumors say that the WWE is currently reaching out to fans to gauge their interest in attending this kind of event.

Current rumors about the proposed convention state that it would different than the WWE’s current “Axxess” events, providing many different attractions, panels, contests, and more over the span of the weekend.

Cities under consideration for the inaugural WWE convention are New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Orlando, Philadelphia,, San Antonio, Miami, and New Orleans, which will play “home” to the WWE next April for WrestleMania XXX.
