In a new interview with WWE.com, former United States and WWE Tag Team Champion Cesaro discusses how he’s grabbed Vince McMahon’s imaginary brass ring on multiple occasions. As previously reported, Cesaro and Tyson Kidd even referred to themselves as “The Brass Ring Club” after McMahon claimed that a lot of superstars weren’t “grabbing them” during his appearance on “Live: Stone Cold Podcast” with WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin last Fall.

The interview walks through Cesaro’s tenure in the company, highlighting times when the Swiss Superman has achieved something great in the ring. The article discusses his title wins, his time as one of Paul Heyman’s clients, his victory in the inaugural André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and his recent five-star matches on WWE television with United States Champion John Cena.

In discussing his recent babyface singles run, which only came about due to the career threatening injury Kidd suffered while wrestling Samoa Joe, Cesaro says the following,

“You have to be a professional in every single thing you do. You see the way I’m dressed. I feel you need to represent a certain something, and I represent European class and Swiss superiority. They usually say you shouldn’t throw stones if you’re sitting in a glass house. The thing is, I can throw stones because I’m not sitting in a glass house. I do what I’m talking about.

That’s what I do every single time, I deliver. I’m very confident in my abilities. That’s why me and Tyson won the Tag Team Championships. That’s why I was able to put on such a show with Cena, twice. When the spotlight is on, I deliver. And that’s what people want to see.

Talking is silver, silence is gold, Cesaro in the ring is a sight to behold.  To me, this is how I grab the brass ring.

This is what I do. I wrestle. And I wrestle my heart out. That’s what I leave in the ring every single night. That’s my heart. Fighting spirit. If you like it, you like it. That’s what I do.”

Editor’s Note:

Looks like WWE is starting to see the brilliance in Cesaro. While he needs some more work on the mic, his in-ring performances can’t be touched. Let’s hope his rise continues.
