Breaking News: Jack Swagger Arrested

TMZ.com has just posted a story on their website and Twitter claiming WWE Superstar Jack Swagger was arrested last night, 2/19/13, and charged with DUI and Possession of Marijuana. TMZ posted this tweet Wednesday afternoon…

TMZ reports that Swagger was leaving Tuesday night’s Smackdown taping when he was pulled by police for speeding. The officers then determined that Swagger was under-the-influence and found marijuana in his car after a quick search. Swagger has been charged with DUI, marijuana possession, and speeding. All of these crimes are considered misdemeanors. TMZ reached out to WWE, who made the statement, “Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions.”

Swagger won the Elimination Chamber match this past Sunday night and was awarded the status of #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Due to this arrest, one would think the WWE would remove him from his #1 Contender status and suspend him.
