AJ Lee Returns and Wins the Divas Championship

AJ Lee returns and wins the Divas Championship. During the June 30 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Lee returned to WWE television and defeated former Divas Champion Paige for the coveted title.

Lee had not been seen on WWE TV since April 7, when she lost the Divas Championship to Paige. Lee would then take a sabbatical and marry former WWE Champion CM Punk, who also has been away from WWE TV for some time.

Lee, who’s absence had led to rumors of her being pregnant, returned to start a program with the woman who defeated her for the title the night following WrestleMania XXX. In a rare “Double Turn” segment, where we saw Paige turn heel and Lee turn face, Paige lost the Divas title via roll-up.

The win makes Lee a two-time WWE Divas Champion, and adds a new chapter to the Paige vs AJ Lee saga. The two are expected to feud well into August, where they will likely face each other at “SummerSlam.”
