Multiple sources are reporting that a Triple Threat match for the WWE Title is being discussed for SummerSlam, and Daniel Bryan will not be involved. The competitors that WWE officials are discussing for this match are John Cena, Mark Henry, and Ryback. Henry and Cena will be fighting for the WWE Championship in tw0 weeks at WWE Money in the Bank, and Ryback and Cena have continued to face each other at WWE Live Events and post-RAW’s in the nightly “dark match.”

If this Triple Threat match were to happen at SummerSlam in August, it would nullify all reports saying that Daniel Bryan and John Cena will face each other for the title at the annual PPV. Original plans were for Bryan to win the Money in the Bank WWE Title ladder match, then go on to work a WWE Championship program with Cena for the rest of the season. Either of these matches may take place at SummerSlam, as there is still a good amount of time to push either storyline.
