TMZ.com is reporting that the local Police and law enforcement in Plano, Texas are investigating Matt Osborne’s death as a homicide. As we previously reported, Osborne (also known as Matt Borne) was found in the home of his girlfriend on Friday, June 28th. He was 55 years old.

Osborne was the original Doink the Clown character for WWE in 1992 and 1993. He also portrayed the character for a short stint in ECW. TMZ.com is reporting that the death is being investigated as a homicide, but with the belief that it this is  standard procedure in cases such as these. However, all early reports claim that his death was accidental. No weapons were found at the scene.
